Die Strand-Naastediens NPC is a non-profit established in 1969 by community leaders, in collaboration with the Dutch Reformed South-Strand Congregation.

The main goal is to provide affordable, quality accommodation and care to senior members of the community, while promoting and enhancing the overall quality of life and all residents.
Who is DSND?
Ametis was the DSND’s first retirement initiative and was developed as a five-story residence, offering accommodation to approximately 150 residents in bachelor and one-bedroom units. Ametis also provides care to 8 residents in the Frail Care Unit. Assisted living units for 20 individuals are available on the first floor.
Altena, like Ametis, is also a five-story building that accommodates approximately 220 residents in bachelor and one-bedroom units. The Frail Care Unit can accommodate 38 residents. Assisted living units for 20 individuals are available on the first floor.
Serenitas offers accommodation for residents who prefer to live in garden-style units. Both bachelor and one-bedroom units are available, with capacity for up to 300 residents. The Frail Care Unit can accommodate 146 residents in single or double or general wards. Assisted living units are also available within SereniCare, located on the same premises. Admission is also offered to out-pasients in the Frail Care Unit.

DSND’s mission and vision are to protect and intentionally promote the dignity of every resident with care.
DSND‘s goal is to provide and ensure an excellent quality of life for each individual as well as for the community as a whole.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the decision-making process of the House Committees, such as organising activities, other initiatives, and social programmes.
DSND offers not just housing to its residents, but also a home, circle of friends, and a friendly community to belong to.
Values
Any prospective residents can apply for admission to the retirement home of their choice. Their name will be added to a waiting list, which is managed openly and transparently by the Management team.
